Donald Joseph Qualls, better known as DJ Qualls is an American model and actor. After gaining fame through his work on Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Also, he has been on over 22 television shows such as Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. Qualls survived Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The first time he was diagnosed when he turned 14 years old. After two years of treatment his cancer went into remission. Treatment at a young time had negative effects on his body. This impeded his growth. When he started performing, financial stability was his aim. He had experienced hardship in his early years. He stated, "I've been living so frugal for so many years that I'm in need of money security or else the world will feel out-of-control and that's not good for me." The man also talks about his early years to help him stay motivated. The fact that cruel acts break his heart. The ideal character for him in films and in his life is the father. But, he admits that directors don't usually make him the ideal choice for those kinds of jobs. He would like to become the father of his child one day in order to spend more time with his child and less to his career.
