After nearly 80 days in the hospital, from near-death to long road to recovery she finally returned home, but her life forever changed. Angelica endured dialysis treatments for more than a decade and half years before receiving the kidney transplant. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica Hale underwent a successful kidney transplant with her mother on the 13th of September, 2013. The procedure was conducted in Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of becoming a celebrity for years after.
